Terms

Plain language on purpose. Using Lilypad means agreeing to what is below. If you do not agree, do not use it โ and if you have already started, deleting your account removes everything.
What Lilypad is
Software that lets you see and control your own computer from your own phone, and a server that introduces the two to each other. The server does not carry your screen or your input; see Privacy for what it does hold.
Your account and your devices
You are responsible for your password and for the phones and computers you add. Anyone holding an unlocked phone that is on your account can control the computers on it โ that is the product working as intended, so treat that phone the way you treat the computer.
If you lose a device, remove it in "Your devices". That takes effect immediately: a removed device cannot sign in, cannot reach anything, and any session it has open ends.
What you must not do
- Use Lilypad to reach a computer you do not own or are not authorised to control. This is the one rule that matters most, and breaking it is likely also a crime where you live.
- Use it to break the law, or to harm, harass, or spy on anyone.
- Attack the service โ attempt to break into other people's accounts, disrupt the server, or work around rate limits and abuse controls.
Accounts doing any of the above can be suspended or deleted without notice. Reports of a security problem are welcome and will not be treated as an attack; write to the address below.
What is not promised
Lilypad is early software run by one person on a single server. There is no uptime guarantee, no support commitment, and no warranty of any kind. It can be unavailable, it can lose the ability to reach your computer, and features can change. Do not rely on it as the only way to reach a machine that matters, and keep another way in.
To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for losses arising from using โ or being unable to use โ Lilypad. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited.
Cost
Lilypad is free while it is in this early stage, and no payment details are collected. If paid plans are introduced, the prices and what they cover will be published here first, and using your own network to reach your own computer will remain free.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from "Your devices" on your phone; it removes the account, every device on it, and every pairing, and cannot be undone. The operator may discontinue the service, and will give what notice is reasonably possible.
Changes
These terms can change. Material changes will be dated at the top of this page, and continuing to use Lilypad after that means accepting them.
